Alderfen Marshes conservation area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) on the Norfolk Broads, home to an abundance of wildlife.
The marshes are actively managed as a natural tidal wetland in which to experience close encounters with wildlife, including many local rarities. Our sustainable approach follows permaculture principles through which nothing is wasted, with all conservation by-products put to good use.
Private, secluded areas offer ideal spots for wild-camping, with the chance to get up-close to nature, from the delightful dawn chorus to the spectacular sunsets over the marshes.
A short paddle from by canoe takes you to some of the quietest backwaters of the Norfolk Broads.
