Camping and canoeing on Alderfen Marshes

The ‘Camp & Canoe Combo’ on Alderfen Marshes offers secluded wild camping pitches with use of your own Canadian canoe to come and go as you please.

Situated in six acres of beautiful wilderness within the Norfolk Broads National Park, the marshes provide an excellent setting to get away from it all.

Great for nature lovers who want to get close to local wildlife and wake up to a sensational dawn chorus over the marshes.

Groups of up to eight adults can enjoy exclusive use of the marshes, catching up and spending time together in a remote rural setting.

Get away from it all…

"Lovely secluded pitches with beautiful surroundings. When we arrived we were greeted by Mary and Steve who were both very welcoming, friendly and informative. The details of our stay were explained and we made our way to our pitch which was very spacious and located in the far corner of the marshes. We visited The Ferry pub in the evening, and enjoyed a few drinks outside by the river. In the morning we made use of the canoes and had a 2 1/2 hour row around the marshes. We had a great time on our first camping adventure and can't recommend this location highly enough. It was back to basics camping at its best, and a very relaxing break away from work and electronics."

"We loved that we could canoe right from our tents. We loved the communal area. We loved the beautiful marshes and nature all around the site. We loved Steve and Mary who happily helped us with everything we needed and made our trip super easy. They gave us the entire site to ourselves so that we had free run of the place and could have everything we needed. And we loved that it was only 2 hours 20 from London!"
